The Dating Game: Dos and Don’ts

Traditionally dating activity includes meal or entertainment. Dating is not an easy job, I can say because no one ever said that. People make hundreds or you can say thousands of mistakes or blunders on their first date. And on top of that they do not even realize that they are doing mistakes. First date is tongue-tied; second date is hopeful and the dates after that is when you actually start knowing each other.

Dating is a game. Every game has some rules and for dating too, we have rules. And in this game of dating, you need to follow them. But as you know, rules have some exceptions. Here are some of the rules you should try and follow:

Look your best. It is important. You want the person you are dating with, to be interested in you and like you.
Always be on time. As no one likes to wait around. Showing up on time shows that you are a reliable person.
Try and enjoy your dates. Keep your mind cool and relaxed. Date is supposed to be fun.
Ask questions about his/her like and dislikes. When your partner is sharing anything, listen to him/her whatever she is saying.
Do compliment your date on how he or she looks. Both men and women put a lot of effort to get ready for dates. If you will compliment them, they will feel good.
Do tell what you felt about your date. If you don’t want to go on a date with him/her again, then it is advisable to tell, but in a “polite” manner.
Do date the person you are attracted to no matter your friends like him/her or not.
Do stay positive even if the date does not end up well.

Some of the things you should try to avoid:

Don’t talk about your past relationship. But if you want to tell, then make sure that you also tell how happy you are to have moved on.
Don’t date people who have hurt you in the past. Mostly one gets attracted to those who are bad.
Don’t be late for date. It just shows you are careless.
If you have changed your plan, do tell the person that you won’t be able to come. And do apologize.
Don’t lie to your date about any aspect of your life.
Don’t be rude or get drunk on your date.
Don’t check out other people when you are on date.
Don’t give your personal information on first date like your home phone number or address.
Don’t have sex on first date. If you really like someone try and know him/her better on dates. Sex on the first date will ruin everything.
Avoid dating married women or men, as the probability of them leaving their life partners is very less.
Don’t discuss your family, money or health problems on your first date.
Don’t discuss anything negative and this also includes the world events. Just try and talk about each other so that you get to know each other better.
