Love or Sex - Whats more important?

This is a question i have often asked myself. What is more important in life, having Love or Sex. Although ideally having both in a relationship can be magical but life doesnt always work that way.
For many years i have chosen love over sex. I have had to do this because I am in love with someone that doesnt feel the same. Most of you will probably, if in my situation would just move on and find someone that feels the same. Its not that easy when the person your in love with is your best friend. She is a big part of my life and have been for years. For that reason i have chosen to stay in her life as her friend rather then not be in her life at all. Regardless of how i feel for her i could not bear the thought of us not being friends.
I know that some people could not face having this burning desire and only remain friends. But to me if you really love someone then you would stick by them regardless.
If i was stuck on a desert island with the last person in the world and was given a choice of love or sex with that person. i would no doubt chose love. I could live without sex but couldnt live without love. Life would be so hollow without love. Love has so much depth and meaning , life without it woud not be worth living.
