With time, even sex loses its essence. And after a while, one or both of the partners start getting bored, especially if you are into a long term relationship. Love making becomes less intense. If this is your story too, then you must understand that continuous absence of passion and romance from your sex life can result in some serious implications which may damage your relationship too.
Sex is a very important part of life and no one can deny it. It is not only about intercourse/penetration, it is about the love, devotion, passion and commitment to each other. Those moments are meant especially for you two. So, it must be enjoyed and lived. Here is how you can add freshness to your sex life.
- Let romance flow in air. This means that small things also should not be ignored. Create a virtual surrounding where everything adds to the romance. If you have kids, then ensure that they are either out at the time of your lovemaking or slept. Do not forget to lock the door of your bedroom. Let some slow music, fragrant candles, flowers drive your senses. If you are comfortable, then make a move for dancing slowly, embracing each other.
- Move slowly. Do not start stripping straight away. Tease each other slowly. Like unzipping slowly till you are done halfway, then leaving it there. Or unbuttoning two or three buttons slowly and then cutting it off and slowly whispering sweet nothing into your partner’s ear. This will build the excitement. Extend your foreplay. Feel and kiss the entire body. This is so because many times some very sensitive parts are overlooked.
- Do not stick to your age old routine. Do new things like massage, use toys, talk naughty and tell each other what you like (something that you have not yet done but wish to do).
- Passion is like waves, it comes and it goes. If you want to keep it alive, then you should understand the importance of commitment, creativity and joint efforts. Work has to be done from both sides.
- A flow of words is very good while making love. Talk about it, what excites you, what you like, any specific part that you wish to be touched, kissed etc. If you communicate in between, it will help you in knowing the changes that you may have overlooked over time. It helps to build up excitement too. Soft whispers, moans, naughty words will keep you more awake.
- It is quite common to have small conflicts with time which may result in you both missing out some quality time. Making love to each other when you are undergoing some conflict etc. can help a lot. Those moments help you best understand what each of you mean to other. However, it is not a discussion time, mind it. Keep it low, yet let your feelings out. Tell your partner that you need him/her by your side.
- Sex is not “only” man thing. It can be an initiation from a woman’s side too. Be adventurous. Try out some sexy outfit, lingerie, perfume, hair do etc. Drive your man crazy to make him want the new you all the more. Experiment with your sex life to an extent that you are comfortable. And, don’t forget, if he does not like it, then avoid it.
